I definitely thought the "pleasure" aim was more prevalent, especially among newer music. The reason for that being, that everyone is trying to feel, have or experience. Pleasure is more fun than doing community service for most people, to be frank about it. I was surprised how difficult it was to find the community service songs or even how to interpret a song into being "community service" friendly. But I guess as long as it has something to do with helping out or being nice to someone or the community it will suffice. I feel like in Hindu understanding, it is something one strives for, that is done voluntarily, and I feel like the American understand especially in music can be a little more "selfish".
